Registration
Learners are expected to report at the training center
at 08:00 AM local time. Learners arriving too late have
to make up for time lost (this, after notifying the client,
will involve extra charges). Learners may have to bring
their Personal Safety Logbooks for updating. These will
be returned upon completion of the course.
Verification of identity
Every learner must be able to prove his/her identity
which is mandatory in the United Arab Emirates. This
can be done by government issued photographic
identification or equivalent e.g. passport or Emirates Id Mid-class breaks – 20 minutes
Total Guided Learning Hours: 4 hours
Entry Requirements
Clothing/equipment
The learner should bring the necessary protective
clothing.
hysical and stressful Demands of the course
Summary details of the types of physical activities the
learner will be asked to:
Don and operate (including checks) an emergency
breathing apparatus (EBA) with a mask within 30
seconds
Don and operate (including checks) an EBA with a
hood within 30 seconds
Connect to/ Disconnect from a pressurized cascade
breathing system with an activated EBA
The learner must be physically and mentally capable
of performing the above mentioned physical activities.
Prior to participating in practical exercises learner
must;
Possess a valid, current offshore medical certificate or
Possess an operator approved medical certificate, or
Undergoes medical screening by completing an
appropriate medical screening form provided by the
Training center
The learning outcomes are specified for each of the
following Units; they are:
OIS-91 Basic H2S Training
Learners must understand
H2S Hazards, Emergency Response Actions and Apparatus (1.1-1.9)
Learners must be able to perform:
Safe use of essential PPE when dealing with H2S Hazards and Emergencies (2.1-2.6)
Special needs
Course participants with special needs such as language
problems, physical or medical disabilities and special
attention regarding religion or culture must be stated
on the training confirmation email to Office Manager -
Training. Additional cost will be charged to the
company unless other arrangements have been made.
Course fees
Course fees are per person per course, including lunch,
coffee/tea, course materials and excluding 5% V.A.T. It
is possible to pay at the training center with credit card,
debit card or cash. In case you need additional
information please do not hesitate to contact our
booking office.
General
The Organization reserves all rights to stop a learner
from participating in a course if his/her prerequisites do
not comply with the rules and regulations of the
authorities involved. In this case we always consult the
employer before taking any further action. During their
stay at the training center, course learners have to
comply with the house rules.
The Organization is not responsible for problems of any
kind that are due to lack of knowledge of the
information provided in this sheet.
